How to Avoid Clogs?
As you know, prevention is the best cure. We are a for-profit business, but Elite Rooter Plumbing is dedicated to helping our community. Here are some ways to help you prevent clogs in the first place.
Preventing clogs in your home's plumbing system starts with adopting a few simple yet effective habits. First, follow the "Three P's" rule: only flush pee, poo, and toilet paper; everything else, including hygiene products, paper towels, and "flushable" wipes, belongs in the trash.
In the kitchen, avoid pouring grease, fats, and oils down the sink as they solidify and cause blockages; instead, collect them in a container for disposal and scrape leftover food into the trash.
Bathroom drains are another hotspot for clogs, often caused by hair and soap scum. Use drain filters or strainers in showers and sinks to catch debris, and clean them regularly to ensure proper drainage.
